In The Now

They tell me it's my birthday. Quite a few thoughts have come to my mind today. Some needed to be cast down as per 2 Cor 10:1-6:

Failure, guilt, defeat, sense of waste, "what if I had done things differently?"

But you know what? We can't change the past. There are some things that I would have done differently if I had the possibility. And there are many things that I would have done exactly the same. The bottom line, however, is that I can't change what has been done. In the words of the old cliche, "It is water under the bridge."

Then a saying came across my mind, one I am sure most of you have heard at one time or another. "This is the first day of the rest of my life!" Wow, what a revelation. If you think about it, this day is all that we have, isn't it? We should make the best of each day, my friend.

We need to live "In The Now," in the present moment. Ask yourself today, "What is the most important thing that I could (should) be doing right now?" Then DO IT!! Let's not waste anymore time worrying about the past, live for YHWH today.

"Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto YHWH. And the peace of YHWH, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Ha Moshiach YHWSHUA. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things [are] honest, whatsoever things [are] just, whatsoever things [are] pure, whatsoever things [are] lovely, whatsoever things [are] of good report; if [there be] any virtue, and if [there be] any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and YHWH Shalom shall be with you." (Phil 4:6-9)

Deep Pit! (Mmmmmmmm)

This morning we decided to "Deep Pit" a turkey. Now I can hear some of you saying, "Oh boy...here we go... They keep Thanksgiving..." WE SURE DO! Everyday is Thanksgiving for us. We are so grateful for all that YHWH has given us that we simply overflow with thanks to HIM!

"Rejoice evermore...Pray without ceasing...In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of YHWH in the Messiah YHWSHUA concerning you." (1Th 5:16-18)

But the reason that we got the turkey this week was simply economics. The price had gone so low on them that we simply figured it would be a great time to "Deep Pit". Now for those of you not familiar with this term I will explain. You simply dig a hole in the ground, Line it with stones (Not from a stream or they will explode), and build a large fire in the pit. Once it has burned down to coals...you take out the coals, put in your pot with whatever you are cooking (with a good lid of course), put the coals back on it...and cover with "D.I.R.T." (Tam will understand this...but that's a different message).

Now you LEAVE IT ALONE! Some people would have the tendency to go out there, and dig it up in an hour or two to see how it's doing. But that would allow the heat to escape and you would have to finish whatever you were cooking in the stove. You need to leave it in the ground for 6 hours or so, and simply have Faith that the stones and coals will do their job.

It's much like a farmer. He goes out and tills the soil, and then furrows the ground, and plants his seed. Day #1 goes by...Day #2...and then the farmer goes out to see how the work is progressing. Well, low and behold...he doesn't see anything. He scratches his head and goes back and says to his wife, "I don't think my seed must be any good." He goes out to the field and digs up the seed to see if something is happening and destroys the work. Will anything EVER grow like that? No, of course not!

But it is that way many times in our Spiritual Life. Our seed is the words that we speak (Some of you are planting the wrong seed to begin with, but again, that is another message... Plant the Word of YHWH in your situation!) Then we go out and dig up our seed if we don't see something happening in just a few minutes. "This confession thing doesn't work," you start complaining. Well of course not...you dug up your seed! "Hold fast to your confession!"

Heb 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for HE is faithful that promised..."

2Ti 1:13 "Hold fast the form of sound words..."

Don't allow circumstances to the contrary dissuade you from your word. Keep your mindset positive and in line with YHWH! The seed WILL bring forth fruit. It might take a little time, but what is time anyway? We have all of eternity to live...why worry about a few days, months, or years? Live in the now. Rejoice over the promises that are coming your way! Give Thanks!!! That's what this day...and EVERY Day is all about anyway...isn't it?

PS - UPDATE 4:30 PM - MMMMmmmmmmmmmmmm is that turkey tasty! The deep pit worked perfectly! Thank you YHWH!

Shalom V'Ahavah...

Chicken Soup Anyone?

Well we had quite a day today. It was an experience we won't forget in the near future! We were blessed a few weeks back when our new neighbor told us he had some chickens that needed to be butchered. He asked if we would do the butchering in exchange for 1/2 the chickens. Of COURSE we would love to do it, we told him! ROTFLOL!

Well today was the big day. We got over there...set up the block...and made the fire to boil some water (I thought you only did that when your wife is pregnant, but when you pluck chickens you do it also. Once everything was set up we went into the roost to gather up one after another rooster. You know, I think they knew what was coming. I mean, not one of them came running over saying "me next"! But we ran...chased...and finally caught them.

Out to the block...then hung upside down for the blood to drain...then to the pot of hot water and to the table to pluck. Well our girls looked like they had been tarred and feathered by the time it was done. Tam was up to her elbows in "guts" (literally) and we were having fun! But as Tam has said to a few ... "We DID NOT have chicken tonight"!

As I sat by the block after killing the chickens I thought about all of the blood...and the temple...and YHWSHUA's sacrifice for us. I know "The Blood" isn't a popular subject, but it was necessary. And I am so grateful that HE shed HIS blood to atone for my sins. What about you friend? Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb? If not, you can be. HE so wants to cleanse you so that you and HE can have fellowship. Open your heart today!

My Apologies

Shalom!!!

I wanted to take a moment to apologize for not posting here as regularly as I would have liked to! With the move, and then the Feast of Tabernacles it got downright busy around here! But things have settled down and we have regrouped somewhat.

There are many things going on here at the present. We are gearing up for a "Winter Survival Camp" that we will be hosting in December. You can find information on the website:

http://www.waytruthlife.com/actsfellowship/

We are also planning to begin building our home in the upcoming few weeks! HalleluYAH! YHWH is so wonderful and so faithful to HIS people. As we work on the home I will be hoping to put up regular updates as well as some pictures of the process! That way you can take part with us. We only wish you were here to hammer and pour concrete!

Finally, I put up pictures of the Feast of Tabernacles 2005 on the website. GO to the homepage, click on "News" and then on "FOT 2005". I hope that you enjoy the pictures as much as we enjoyed the Feast!

We Finally Made It!!!

Well here we are. We pulled into Ava, Missouri about 3 weeks ago. "What???" I can hear you saying now.... Why haven't you posted? Well let me start at the beginning.

We have a piece of land in Ava that is about 4 acres. It is outside of the town of Ava approximately 5 miles (Boonies basically). We tried to get phone connection, but they say that will take about 3 more weeks. We are so remote that we actually have to get in the van in order to make calls on the cell phone (We lose connection about 1/2 mile from the property!) So no Dial up (Perhaps a blessing! LOL!!!)

Ok...next we call a company about radio transmitted DSL. They came out and did a test only to find that we are too far down in the valley to have a signal to town. The phone company doesn't offer DSL by the way, so no DSL.

Being that cable doesn't run out here...no cable (although that would be nice to be running at 2000 MBPS and up). But that doesn't look like an option either. So what are we to do? Well, we looked UP! To YHWH...and to the sky. Satellite can be received anywhere they tell me. What they didn't mention was that you can't shoot a signal through the trees. So we cut...chopped...and finally cleared a path for the transmitter/receiver to hit the 47 degree satellite!!!

It is a nice connection, but our old router went on the blink on top of it all! LOL...when it rains it pours! Then I fried a mother board getting all of it in working order. Well, long story short - We are back up on direcway.com. And it is pretty fast - except when Rita was overhead.

We praise YHWH for all of HIS mercies and kindness to us. HE has met our needs in every way. Please continue to pray for us. Also a great big "Thank You" to Brian and Lisa for all of their kindness and helping us get settled in. They have aided us greatly and made the transition much easier for us! We love you guys!

We will be having online services along with the home fellowship each Shabbat. Please feel free to join us. We are on Paltalk in "YHWHs Word of Faith" under "Religion" each Shabbat at 2 PM Eastern Time. We will also be having Praise and Worship on Friday evenings at 8 EST. Come and join us. Until we speak to you in person...

Shalom and Ahavah...

One Last Post From Wilkes Barre

HalleluYAH!!! May YHWH be richly praised and honored! We have spent the last two days loading the moving van and closing out all the utilities. Tonight the electric and phone will be shut off, and tomorrow we will be on our way to Ava, Missouri. YHWH's desire we will be there in about 5 days. We plan to take a nice slow drive and see some of the country on our way out.

This Sabbath we are excited to be sharing the day with our precious Brother from Huntington, WV, AriYAH. We can't wait to see all of the blessings that YHWH has in store for us. And we pray that you also, dear reader will "prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers." May YHWH move in each of your lives in many ways that you thought unimaginable. HE is good... And HE wants to bless you!

We will be back online in a few weeks, YHWH's desire. Know that until then you are all in our prayers. Please pray for us also.

Shalom V' Ahavah!!!!!!

My Precious Dove....

This week is a very special week for us. Almost like a time of "New Beginnings." Oh how excited we are! Everyone is working together with eager anticipation for the move to Missouri.

Five years ago today was another time of "New Beginnings" for us as well. On Aug. 27th, 2000 Tam and I were married, and we all became a family. What a blessed 5 years it has been. We have faced many challenges, joys, and even some sorrows. But "together" we have been richly blessed by YHWH. Truly HE has given me a precious gift in Tam and our children.

Thank you my Prov 32 wife (No that isn't a mistake - she has FAR surpassed Prov 31) for all of the love, support, and the blessing that you have been to me and the children. We all love you so very much. May YHWH grant us many more years to serve HIM together!

Happy 5th Anniversary My Dove!!!

Forever In My Heart....

The buyer got his insurance today, which was the last thing standing between us and the closing! We close on Monday, YHWH's desire!!!! Now the real work begins. ROTFLOL! Packing...Packing...Packing! May YHWH be Praised and may HE continue to move in all that we do... and in all that each of you do for the Kingdom!

Hurry Up & Wait!

Well, it looks like we are on the homestretch! HalleluYAH! We have had a week of waiting on the sale of the house for "technical reasons" that we are not really aware of at this time. We got a call last Wed from the closing agent that said "the buyer just isn't ready to sign yet." Well what could we do?

Our lives are alot the same in many different areas. We have things that "need" to be done yesterday... Things that we have been trusting YHWH for, but for whatever reason our lives seem to be "put on hold." You have probably felt like that from time to time in something or other. Well what do we do in times like that? There are quite a few options.

#1 - We can fret & frown, complain, moan and groan.... But this doesn't help matters. In fact, these attitudes tend to make things worse. They cause confusion, hurt, and chaos in our lives. Watch what words come out of your mouth in these times, for "Death and life are in the power of the tongue and they that love it will eat the fruit thereof."

#2 - We can just "accept" whatever comes along as "YHWH's will." Perhaps this may seem to be the right answer, but in reality it is no better than the first "solution" above. We can know YHWH's will in every situation by the promises found HIS Word which HE has given us. So to just shrug it off and say, "It must be YHWH's will" is not profitable. In fact, this actually allows the wicked one areas to cause compromise in our lives.

#3 - The thing that would be best in these situations is to obey YHWH and HIS Word. Sometimes we just need to "wait" (serve in the Hebrew) with trust, knowing that YHWH is in control of every situation. True Faith is "Believing that HE IS, and that HE is a rewarder of them that diligently seek HIM." We need to, in these times, "Cast our cares on HIM, for HE cares for us." When we serve YHWH in Righteousness, and trust in HIM HE will bring all of our desires to pass.

Pro 16:1-9 The preparations of the heart in man, and the answer of the tongue, is from YHWH. All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but YHWH weigheth the spirits. Commit thy works unto YHWH, and thy thoughts shall be established. YHWH hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. Every one that is proud in heart is an abomination to YHWH: though hand join in hand, he shall not be unpunished. By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of YHWH men depart from evil. When a man's ways please YHWH, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him. Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right. A man's heart deviseth his way: but YHWH directeth his steps.

Psalm 130:5 I wait for YHWH, my soul doth wait, and in His word do I hope.

Let's begin to wait on YHWH with patient endurance. Find out HIS will in the situation, and Trust HIM to bring it to pass. YHWH never fails! HalleluYAH!

Psa 27:14 - Wait on YHWH: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on YHWH.

Psa 37:23 - The steps of a good man are ordered by YHWH: and he delighteth in his way.

Baggage....

Well, the countdown is on for the big move to Ava. We have begun to pack all of the belongings that we have accumulated in four short years. You don't really realize how many "things" you have until you have to try to fit them all in 21 feet of moving van space! WOW! Where did it all come from? So we are trying to downsize as much as we can in order to make the move as smooth as possible! We are already at 125 banana boxes plus furniture.

You know, each of our lives are very similar. Over the past 10, 15, 20, or even more years we have accumulated alot of baggage...haven't we? Perhaps thoughts of the past, hurt, pain, and many other things are hiding in closets and hindering our walk with YHWH. Perhaps today, is a good time to begin to take inventory in our Spiritual Lives and see what impediments there are that hold us back from fulfilling the best that YHWH has in store for us. HE tells us to:

"Mat 11:28 -30 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Why don't you stop right now, and look at your life. What anger, pain, and hurt can you get rid of? What burdens are there that YHWH can lighten? Ask HIM to take these things from you and to replace them with Shalom (Nothing Missing; Nothing Broken), with Love, and with Joy! YHWH has promised that our lives can be free of these hinderances, if we will trust HIM with the outcome. And then keep your hearts free from any encumberances by keeping your focus on YHWH...

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. (Phil 4:8)

Have a great time packing....
All Love and Shalom....

Visiting With "Dad"

What a blessing today to have my dad stop in for two days all the way from Florida! We had a great time today just being together and talking about all that is going on in this world around us. As I was sitting here going over the day in my mind I thought about an old story that I read many years ago. Maybe you have heard of it.

It tells about YHWH waiting for us in the den of our heart, as we go busily about our day. HE sits there early in the morning, waiting for our arrival, but we have far too much to accomplish today to stop and say hello. We see HIM sitting there through the cracked door but after rushing through breakfast and a quick shower we rush out the door without even saying "Good Morning".

After a long day we return home and quickly rush past the den on our way to cook dinner. Out of the corner of our eye we see YHWH still sitting there, waiting patiently for us. We hurriedly eat our meal and change clothes to get to the meeting that we are already 15 minutes late to. But driving down the road a thought enters our mind that we went right out the door again without even acknowledging our Precious Master waiting to spend some time with us.

We come home after 2 1/2 hours of the most boring meeting of our lives, and feel as though we have no energy left for anything. We try to quietly sneak past the door of the den so as not to be noticed, but we can see through the slight crack where the door is ajar a small candle lit on the table next to the chair where YHWH still sits... waiting. As we look closer on our way up the stairs we notice a tear in HIS eyes, wanting so much to just fellowship for awhile with HIS son/daughter.

This story brings somberness to my heart each time I think of it. How often do we get too busy doing all the things that we "need to do" in life that we forget to spend the time with YHWH that HE not only deserves, but so longingly desires to have with us? Are we so busy with the things of this life, even things of "The Kingdom", that we forget to include YHWH in our thoughts, plans, and lives? After all, we were created for one purpose.... HIS pleasure! Why not take some time right now to stop and just tell YHWH how much HE means to you, and thank HIM for a wonderful day!

Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O YHWH, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

PS - Thanks for being here today dad...We love you!

"Hooked on a Feeling"

As I was putting the baby to sleep an old song came on the radio called "Hooked on a Feeling." Perhaps those of you who are older will remember the song. I thought about how true that song is in many believer's lives nowadays. How many of us operate according to our feelings? The wicked one's job is to attack us in the physical realm, what we can see, what we can hear, what we feel. He continually tries to bombard our minds with situations and circumstances to keep us from operating in Faith in YHWH's Word.

2Co 5:7 For we walk by faith, not by sight...

We need to begin operating outside of the realm of the "natural" things that we can see, feel, hear, and touch. Faith operates in the Spiritual realm! "Without faith it is impossible to please YHWH!" If we walk after the feelings that are in our flesh and circumstances then we are only going to bring death into our situations.

Rom 8:4-8 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against YHWH: for it is not subject to the law of YHWH, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please YHWH.

As a believer, we cannot be satisfied to walk in the flesh realm, basing our lives on the "feelings" that surround us daily. We need to begin living in the Spiritual realm basing our word and actions only on the Word of YHWH! Only then can we be pleasing to YHWH. Only then can we bring life into each situation. Only then can we walk in victory, overcoming the wicked one in every situation! Let your words this day be faith filled words, words of victory and life. Stop walking according to the feelings and begin to walk by faith!

Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Allegiance To YHWH

I received an email today that I wanted to put here in encapsulated form. I can't express the feelings any better, so I will just let it speak for itself...

Being a believer in YHWH [“THIS WAY“] IS NOT A RELIGION – IT IS A KINGDOM. THE KINGDOM IS WHAT YHWSHUA PREACHED. WHEN WE ALLOWED THOSE THAT WOULD KEEP US IN BONDAGE TO REDUCE “THIS WAY” TO A “RELIGION” WE WERE DEFEATED RIGHT THEN. THE KINGDOM HAS BEEN GROWING SINCE YHWSHUA PREACHED IT AND IS HERE AND AWAITING OUR ENTRANCE. IF WE ARE PRESENTLY WAITING A MOVEMENT OF YAHWEH WE ARE NOT IN THE PRESENT TRUTH. THE PRESENT TRUTH REGARDING WAITING ON YHWH IS 180 DEGREES AWAY. YHWH IS WAITING ON US.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of YHWH is not in word, but in power.

Revelation 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

WE WILL NEED THE KEYS TO THE KINGDOM! THEY ARE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HOLINESS. RIGHTEOUSNESS IS CONFORMITY TO THE DIVINE LAW AND; HOLINESS IS CONFORMITY TO THE DIVINE NATURE. WE MUST LEARN TO SPEAK THE WORDS OF THE KINGDOM AND SPEAK THEM IN THE POWER AND AUTHORITY OF YHWSHUA The MESSIAH!!! NAME IT AND SO SHALL IT BE. HOW WILL WE DO THAT? BY FAITH!!!

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of YHWH, and their righteousness is of me, saith YHWH.

Thy Kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. This is our command, TO BRING heaven to Earth!! ...ONLY BE THOU STRONG AND COURAGEOUS... Let us today claim our allegiance to YHWH and HIS Reign!

ISRAELITE PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE

I pledge allegiance to the shed blood of YHWH our Messiah
Establishing The New Covenant of YHWH’s Kingdom on Earth
And to the promises of our Father, YHWH
One Nation under YHWH our Messiah
Indivisible, with judgment and mercy for all.

Backups

I installed a great new program today. It is basically a Personal Information Manager that tracks all that I do as well as all of my records. It is limited only by one's imagination. But the point that I like best about program is that it automatically creates a backup on a separate drive from the main program file. This way I can't lose my information that I have so diligently prepared. You probably know what I mean. You keep your work for 6 months or a year, and all of the sudden your computer goes down. Reinstalling windows causes you to lose much of your information. There goes all that work down the drain.

You know, our spiritual life is similar. Sometimes it seems like we take 3 steps forward and then the wicked one comes in like a flood and we are knocked 2 steps backward. Many have even said that they feel like they are on a spiritual "roller coaster". But YHWH is a good record keeper! In fact, everything that we do is on "record" in the Heavenly Realm unto the "Day of Judgement". What does this mean in our lives?

1 Cor 3:11-17 tells us:

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Yahushua the Messiah. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;
Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire. Know ye not that ye are the temple of YHWH, and that the Spirit of YHWH dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of YHWH, him shall YHWH destroy; for the temple of YHWH is holy, which temple ye are.

It is clear that we will be judged for whatever we do in this life, either good or bad, after we accept the sacrifice of YHWSHUA. The records are being kept, and the backup is in place. What is it that we are doing with are lives? Are we laying up wood, hay, and stubble? Or are the things that we are doing preparing for us gold, silver, and precious stones? Let us "stive toward the mark of the High calling in YHWSHUA!" Remember that "you ARE the temple of YHWH." Let us be careful to do all that we do heartily as unto YHWH, and not unto man!

Are You Hot?

As I was sitting here today I thought about how many people have been inundated with the heat this summer. We have had very warm temperatures in the 85-95 degree range throughout most of the summer. But there have even been parts of the US that have been much warmer even in the 100-115 degree range. As I thought about how hot it has been I recalled the verse in Revelation 3 where YHWSHUA said ...

"I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth."

What about you my friend? Are you "fired up" for YHWH in your life? Is HE consuming your life like a fire? Or are you simply getting by... lukewarm, hardly accomplishing anything for the Reign of YHWH? My precious Brothers and Sisters, our time here on this earth is so short. And these are definitely the "last days" spoken of in The Scriptures. So let's get out of our lukewarm mentality and begin to live our lives "heartily as unto YHWH and not unto man!" Whatever we do, in every word, and in every action... let us promote the Reign of YHWH. "Let your light shine! You are the salt of the earth."

Shalom v' Ahavah...
